Laramie Zonta Club members are enjoying a new Book and Movie Club. Movie selections have included Hidden Figures, The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, The Help,. Book selections have included American Child Bride by Nicholas L. Syrett.
Congratulations to Laramie High School Z Club, the 2016 1st Place winner in the Zonta International Emma L. Conlon Service Award Z Club category. The Laramie High School Z Club is sponsored by Zonta Club of Laramie. The contest recognizes clubs whose projects and programs best express the ideals of Zonta International and the Z and Golden Z Club program through local and international service and advocacy to empower women worldwide.
Two Laramie Zontians have been elected to the 2018 – 2020 District 12 Leadership Team. Deedee Boysen will serve as District 12 Governor and Tasha Bauman will serve as Area 2 Vice Director. Congratulations and thank you for all your hard work!
The Zonta Club of Laramie recognized Jennifer Stone as our Zontian of the Year at our May 2017 meeting. Jennifer joined Zonta in 2015 and immediately became actively involved. She currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for our club and as Club Archivist and will lead our Advocacy Committee in 2017-2018 including Rose Day activities. Jennifer also has served as a committee member for the Scavenger Hunt and has participated in many Club activities. Congratulations, Jennifer!
