2016 Service Recognition Award
“NECCAT” – NorthEast Colorado Coalition against Trafficking
Zonta Club of Greeley is utilizing professional skills to transform and support a local coalition to fight trafficking: Northeast Colorado Coalition Against Trafficking (NECCAT); providing meeting set-up, chairing, communication, website, email and materials development.
Meeting monthly since January, NECCAT includes 7 local and regional law enforcement, and 32 community based service agencies. The meetings focus on resources, victim service protocol, issue priority and responses. A highlight was a weeklong event at University of Northern Colorado supported by iEmpathize, Truckers Against Trafficking exhibit, Boom video and a large press conference. Three newspaper releases, including a front –page story of a member/survivor plus two radio shows followed.
