Masquerade Ball

First Annual Zonta Masquerade Ball
masqueradeZonta Club of Laramie held its First Annual Masquerade Ball on November 1, 2014 at the Elks Lodge in downtown Laramie, from 7:00 PM until midnight. Approximately 175 masked participants attended from throughout the community. Kim Frazier and Mary Mountain co-chaired the Masquerade Ball Planning Committee, and were supported by committee members Sarah Hellevang, Jennica Fournier, Effie Bader, Amanda Wilkinson, Amber Zmolek, Tasha Bauman, and Angela Ver Ploeg.

Guests enjoyed fortune telling, dancers, a costume parade, live music by Angel Adams and the Suits, as well as a night of dancing DJ’d by Crystal Klear Music. Numerous prizes were raffled off, including two $100 money trees, a wine basket, a whiskey basket, and a gigantic bottle of wine. The large raffle item was a three-day trip to New Orleans.

Joseph Haeberle, a local photographer, staffed a photo booth and took candid photos of the guests throughout the evening (see photos at www.josephhaeberle.com). Z-Club assisted with decorating masks to be sold at the ball.

There were many people who put in hours of hard work to bring this event to its culmination. What a success this first Masquerade Ball was, and everyone is looking forward to doing it again next year!
