Mission Statement: Zonta Club of Converse County through club fellowship, serves the community and supports women and children.

Service Projects:

  • A booth was set up at the Pink Flamingo along with the Cowboy Christmas Craft Fair. We had a raffle item and also sold cocktail in a bag. These homemade bags offered everything needed for two fancy cocktails not including the alcohol. These were perfect for a fun holiday gift.
  • The money raised by these service projects help to maintain and ensure the success of our Advocacy and Scholarship projects throughout the year

PROGRAMS & CAMPAIGNS

Just Say No: We actively participate in the Just Say No Campaign by hanging our banner at different locations in our community.

Silent Witness Program: We help raise awareness to the silent witness program through the Converse County Hope Center.

Human Trafficking Posters: We provided posters for local truck stops to help bring awareness to human trafficking issues.

Converse County Hope Center: The Hope Center helps victims of domestic and or sexual violence. They also provide services such as supervised visitation for children, they are advocates for victims, they provide shelter when needed. The Zonta Club of Converse County has been able to supply items that may be needed for victims of sexual assault such as clothing to wear when leaving the hospital along with other needed items. We have also provided items to be raffled off at some of their fundraisers.

Boys & Girls Club: We have provided gift baskets for this club to raffle off at their fundraisers.

 

Scholarships:

  • Mary Cross Scholarship: for a high school senior girl
  • Barbara Cross Scholarship: Adult education for a women at the local junior college
