Zonta Says No!

“We can’t and mustn’t ignore the fact: violence against women and girls is still pervasive in all kinds of countries and societies….Zonta International has been committed to its prevention and eradication for many years. In 2013, as the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women focuses on fighting violence against women,…a worldwide campaign saying no to violence against women. Do not look away. Join us!” – ZI President Lynn McKenzie

The Zonta Says No campaign was highlighted during Saturday night’s banquet on October 5th with all attendees wearing their best orange attire and holding banners and Zonta Says No pumpkins.
Clubs in District 12 will take part in many activities on November 25th, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and kicks off the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence.

Zonta Says No is a worldwide campaign of Zonta International to end violence against women. Clubs worldwide hosted events in 2013 that illustrated the collective commitment of Zonta’s 27,000+ members in 62 countries to prevent and end violence against women and girls.
