Preparation for D12 Conference

Members of the Boulder Zonta Foothills Club took time from their busy summers to help cut 3,000 strings needed for the assemblying of birthing kits at the District 12 Conference in Denver at the end of October. One thousand birthing kits will be assembled by those Zontians attending the Conference and will be sent to Africa to help mothers have clean births. The kits contain scalpels, strings to tie off the umbilical cords, latex gloves, a drop cloth for delivery on, soap bars and gauze.
