Fundraising
The Zonta Club of Laramie had three fundraising projects in 2008-2009. They
included a Style Show, a rose sale and a t-shirt sale.
The Style Show is generally held in November and this past year was held at
the Hilton Garden Inn. Clothing for men, women and children was provided by
local merchants and modeled at the event. The 2009 Style Show will mark the
25th anniversary of this event. Funds raised through this event were used to
support a myriad of local service projects, scholarships, and Zonta
International programs. For more information, contact
Angela Ver Ploeg or
Maryalice Gulino
Yellow roses were sold by Zontians to commemorate International Women's Day
in March. Zontians honor co-workers, friends and family by purchasing a
rose, which is then delivered by a Zontian. Funds raised through this effort
were used to support Zonta International service projects and programs.
This year, Zontians purchased t-shirts and vests that were created with the
Zonta logo by Laramie Zontian Stephanie Carter. These t-shirts are still
available and can be ordered through Deedee Boysen. For pricing information
about the t-shirts and vests, contact Deedee at
LaramieZonta@gmail.com.
Funds raised through this effort will be used to offset the cost of
registration and travel to the District 12 Conference in Denver in October.
