Mission Statement

The Zonta Club of Lakewood Golden's purpose is to improve the status of women in the Jefferson County area by providing leadership, financial support and mentoring to further the objectives of Zonta International.



Meetings

First Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. Social time begins at 6:00 at a local restaurant. Contact Cecilia Long for place and agenda.

Service to Women in Our Community
  • Jeffco "ACT to prevent Domestic Violence" program - help spread awareness of program
  • Adopt-A-Teacher Program - provide scholarship funds to teachers in support of programs that are focused on improving the future of young women
  • Jeffco Action Center support organization to provide women with pathways to self-sufficiency through the donation of supplies and service
  • TAZ: Jeffco Center for Mental Health - provide funding for transportation assistance to women
  • Pennies for PAPSSpread awareness on the importance of annual PAP test and collect pennies for women in need of help with the cost of PAP test
  • Women in Crisis (The Family Tree) - Collect and deliver supplies and provide dinner to center to support women in need.
  • Go Red for Women - Help spread awareness of heart disease which is the #1 killer or women in the U.S.
  • Crayons for Kids - Collect individual box sets of crayons for mental health / rehabilitation centers
  MEMBERSHIP

Membership is by invitation. We encourage women who share our goals to attend one of our meetings in order to get acquainted with what we do in our community and the fun and satisfaction we have while helping other women and their families.
